Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we could rediscover the power we’ve been given to bless one another.
Jesus said, “We love because He first loved us.”
Jesus said, “Love others as you love yourself.”
Jesus said, "Love and pray for your enemies."
Jesus said, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart."
Blessing begins with us.
It seems love is what we've been waiting for and blessing seems a good way to move forward.
Through the smallest of words blessing starts connecting and healing something within us at the soul level. The wounds and pride and scars that have defined us for so long and kept us from one another begin to unravel. We start seeing and believing something we couldn't before. We start letting our defenses down a little more and begin understanding how we all can contribute to healing and wholeness if we bless.
We cannot fix the world’s problems and heartaches all at once and we cannot fix it all on our own, God knows. I can’t even fix mine most of the time but I can choose to follow in someone’s footsteps who was born to bless us.
He blesses so well. people get healed.
People who haven’t seen light for years get sight!
He blesses so well, people get free.
People who have held onto wounds for forever suddenly loosen their grip and choose forgiveness!
We can’t fix ourselves on our own but we have the power to choose. Go ahead and grab on to the new beginning we're being given in 2019!
I choose blessing instead of cursing.
I choose listening instead of judging.
I choose to invite a Holy Spirit to do what I can’t.
I choose sharing instead of consuming.
I choose healing instead of resenting.
I choose Jesus to become who I am.
I choose love.
As we mark Christmas off our list, let’s not cross it off without seeing this gift. The true gift of Christmas that stays with us in the new year is Jesus, who is still revealing who He is to us! If we're watching we'll see Him. May we be blessed like the seeking Magi, to ask and open our eyes and let the light of who He is shine in. In the new year, may we allow love to become who we are and watch the waiting world get brighter!
"After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi[a] from the east came to Jerusalem and asked, “Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him." - The Gospel According To Matthew (2:1-2)
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2019!
May you be blessed with sightings of love & new beginnings.
